Privacy Policy — Photo Size Fix

Effective and last updated: October 4, 2026

This policy describes Photo Size Fix, Android package com.yjlab.photosizefix, provided by YJ Studio (Google Play developer name: YJ Lab). The app has no account, sign-in, developer server or Firebase integration.

1. Selected photos and compression

Selected photos are never uploaded to a server for processing. All compression happens on your device. The Android photo picker grants access to photos you select. The app reads their names, sizes, dimensions, formats and EXIF orientation to produce JPG or WebP files within your chosen KB or MB limit. It does not modify or separately copy originals, or retain long-term access to them.

The system picker may show cloud-provider photos depending on your device settings. Bringing those photos onto your device is handled by Android and the provider under their policies; the app does not upload them for compression.

2. Information stored locally

Settings, including output format, metadata choices and theme, and up to 50 recent records containing the original file name, original and output sizes and processing time are stored in private app storage. History contains neither original photos nor their access URIs. These records support settings and recent activity and are not sent to the developer.

Output files are kept privately for comparison, saving and sharing. Files older than seven days are cleaned on the next app launch, so deletion may wait until you reopen the app. Copies saved to your gallery or shared elsewhere are not part of that cleanup.

3. EXIF and photo location

GPS removal is the default. You may remove all EXIF or keep supported EXIF. Keeping EXIF can retain location, capture time and camera details contained in the original. Embedded thumbnails and manufacturer-specific metadata are not copied. The app does not request your current device location. Check your metadata choice before sharing.

4. Google AdMob and external services

The app uses AdMob banner and native ads and includes support for optional rewarded ads. Closed-test builds use Google's test ads. For advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, the SDK may collect and share IP-based approximate location, interactions, diagnostic/performance data and device or account identifiers such as app set IDs. This app does not request Android advertising ID permission.

On Android 13 and later, excluding that permission returns a zeroed advertising ID. Earlier Android versions may allow SDK access without it, subject to device settings and Google's policies. This exclusion does not stop all advertising identifiers or data handling.

SDK data uses TLS in transit and is handled under Google's policies, potentially outside your country. Photos, photo URIs, names, EXIF and compression history are not passed to the SDK. Compression and saving work without ad connectivity.

External links are subject to your browser and the destination's policies. Visits to this GitHub Pages site may be handled under the GitHub Privacy Statement.

5. Advertising privacy choices

Google User Messaging Platform provides consent where required. If Google requires privacy options, you can reopen them under Advertising privacy choices in app settings. Test app IDs may not show a publisher's actual consent messages. Consult Google's privacy controls for requests concerning SDK data. Clearing app history does not request deletion of advertising service data.

6. Saving and sharing

Save writes the result to your gallery under Pictures/Photo Size Fix. Share sends the output and a read grant to an app you choose. Files may include metadata based on your EXIF setting. Gallery/cloud backups and subsequent sharing are governed by your settings and those services' policies. The app does not automatically send files to the developer. Manage or delete external copies at their destination.

7. Permissions, protection and backup

Internet and network-state access support ads. Photos are selected through Android's picker; outputs are saved with MediaStore. The app does not request full photo/storage, location, contacts, phone, camera or advertising ID permissions.

Settings, records and private outputs use app-private storage without additional app-level file encryption. Use operating-system protections such as a screen lock. Android automatic cloud backup is disabled, with exclusion rules for cloud backup and device transfer of app data. These rules do not cover photos saved to the gallery.

8. Deletion and your rights

The developer cannot remotely access your local photos or history. Contact us about applicable rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing. For advertising data, Google's request procedures may also apply.

9. Support, children and changes

If you email support, your email address and message are used for responding and necessary follow-up. Unneeded information is deleted after that purpose is fulfilled, subject to legal retention requirements. Avoid attaching original photos, location information or other sensitive data unnecessarily.

This photo-size utility is intended for adults and is not designed for children. Contact us with concerns about children's data. Changes to functionality or data handling will be reflected on this page and its update date, with in-app notice where needed.
