Privacy Policy — Easy Magnifier

Effective and last updated: October 4, 2026

This policy describes Easy Magnifier by YJ Studio (Android package: com.yjlab.easymagnifier).

1. Photos, camera and recognized text

The camera provides live magnification, torch and frame freezing. Only photos you select in the system picker are read; originals are unchanged. Frozen/imported images remain in working memory and are not automatically saved to the gallery. Bundled Korean/English OCR recognizes camera frames and photos on your device. Photos, frames and recognized text are not sent to our server or ad requests. There is no account or app backend.

Recent OCR history is off by default. Enabling it stores at most 10 results, replacing older entries. Disabling history or deleting it clears saved results. View mode, speech speed and history preferences are also local.

2. Advertising and external services

We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and User Messaging Platform. Advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention may involve device/ad identifiers, IP-based approximate location, app/ad interactions and diagnostics. Processing depends on region, consent, device and Google settings. Charging records, photos and recognized text are not added to ad requests. Current test builds use Google demo ad IDs.

Ad SDK traffic is encrypted in transit and may be processed internationally. Providers apply their own retention/deletion policies. Ad requests start only when Google's consent status permits them. “Ad privacy choices” appears in settings when required. Android lets you reset/delete your advertising ID; this does not stop all diagnostic or network processing.

External links use the browser and destination policies. Visits to this policy website are subject to the GitHub Privacy Statement.

3. OCR diagnostics, speech and copy

Separately from recognizing text, Google ML Kit may process device/app details, per-installation identifiers and feature-use/performance/error diagnostics for analytics. Its traffic uses HTTPS. We do not use cloud OCR to upload image/text content. See the ML Kit disclosure and Google's policy.

“Read aloud” passes text to the installed Android TTS engine. Depending on the engine/voice, it may use a network service subject to that provider's policy. Select an offline voice and install language data to use its on-device processing. Uninstalling this app does not delete independent TTS-provider data. “Copy” places text on the system clipboard; other apps may use it when you paste or according to operating-system settings.

4. Permissions

No broad photo/storage, microphone, location or contacts permission is requested. Import uses system access to a photo you select.

5. Retention, protection and deletion

Settings and optional history use app-private device storage. The app does not add its own storage encryption; use your device's lock and operating-system protection. App data is configured to be excluded from Android cloud backup and automatic device transfer. Operating-system/manufacturer services follow their own policies.

Use the app's history deletion control, Android Settings → Apps → this app → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall the app to remove local data. Menu names vary. This does not delete Google ad/diagnostic data or external provider data. We cannot remotely access local app data. Contact external providers through their own data-request procedures.

6. Contact and your rights

For email support, we process the sender's email address and message as needed to respond and follow up. Unneeded messages are deleted when the purpose is fulfilled, subject to legal retention requirements. Do not send passwords, identity/financial details or private photos/documents. Contact us about access, correction, deletion or restrictions under applicable law.

The app is not designed for children under 13 and does not require an account or children's personal details. Contact us with concerns about children's data.

7. Changes and contact

We update this page and revision date when features or practices change, and provide an app update or notice when necessary.
